World Water Day is an annual event celebrated by MWSC as the main utility service provider of water to more than half the population of the Maldives.

This year MWSC focused on “Save Water” theme, and sub-themes included #Think Green, #ThinkForFuture and #ThinkSustainable,  which demonstrates the importance of water and its impact on our future.

Similar to previous years, MWSC announced its annual Water Day Instagram Photo Competition on Water Day. An art competition for school children and a Photo Caption contest for Social Media users also make up part of this year’s celebrations.

The purpose of these competitions are to create awareness amongst public about the importance of water. All the activities are designed to provide informative messages on water in an interactive fashion.

MWSC’s aim is to provide sustainable safe water solutions to the community at all times.
