Women’s’ Day is an annual event celebrated by MWSC to recognize women for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.

This year’s theme, ‘Press for Progress’, involves motivating and uniting friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive. The sub-themes included #IWD2018, #PressforProgress, #MeToo, #TimesUp, #TeamMWSC and all staff were given a dress code of purple colour for this occasion.

During the special event held today at Fen Building, a video compilation of interviews of women employees in MWSC was featured. A key female leader of the organization, Finance Manager Ms. Shahuza Mufeed also addressed the staff of MWSC at the event.   

The Ceremony concluded with a cutting of the cake to celebrate the occasion.
