The Minister of Environment and Energy Mr. Thoriq Ibrahim groundbreaks the sewer project and water network being undertaken by MWSC in R.Hulhudhuffaaru.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by officials from the Ministry of Environment and Energy, senior management from MWSC, R.Hulhudhuffaaru Council Members and Island Council Members.

Under the Contract with the Ministry of Environment and Energy, MWSC will commence design and build of complete water supply network, sewerage collection network, sewage pumping stations and sea outfall pumping stations in the island of R. Hulhudhuffaaru.

Giving a brief summary of the project’s work, MWSC’s Managing Director Mr. Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed assured that the projects will be delivered on schedule. He further noted that these projects would contribute to the general wellbeing and living standards of the community
