A team from MWSC has visited Raa Atoll Dhuvaafaru to provide information to the island’s citizens regarding the provision of water services in the island by MWSC.
An official meeting was held on 5th April with the Raa Atoll Council and Dhuvaafaru Island Council members, and senior citizens of the island, to brief them about the project. The land allocation from Dhuvaafaru for MWSC was also discussed during the meeting.
Following the meeting, an information session was held at Raa Atoll Madharusaa on 6th April, to provide information to the island’s residents about the water project.

At the end of the meeting, the public was opened to a question and answer session to address any queries regarding the water services.
MWSC will be providing water services for all households of Dhuvaafaru by laying a water pipe network estimated to be 11.48 km in length, and establishing an RO plant system that would produce 100 tonnes of water per day. The project is expected to be completed before the end of this year.
