The Management and employees of MWSC today donated to the Maldivian Red Crescent Japan Fund, a relief fund opened to contribute to the victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami disaster.
A total of MRF 137,365.11 was donated by the Company.
The donation cheque given today by the Managing Director of MWSC, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Didi, was accepted by Ms Rasheeda Ali, the Secretary General of Maldivian Red Crescent.
At the meeting held today for the cheque handover, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Didi noted that the contribution is a mutual donation gifted by the Company, and the staff of MWSC and IBM, a sister company of MWSC.
Ms Rasheeda Ali acknowledged the fact that MWSC was the first company from the Maldives to donate to the Japan Fund through the Maldivian Red Crescent.
