A team from MWSC visited HDh. Kulhudhuffushi to give information on the services that will be provided to the island under the Water & Sewerage Project.
Although the Sewerage Project is a government project, the Operation & Maintenance of the facilities has been handed over to MWSC on 09th September 2010 for a period of 35 years.
Information sessions for both Water & Sewerage were held at Jalaluddhin School on 15th & 16th December 2010. During the session, a presentation was given with regard to the project, the services and proposed tariff were also highlighted. In addition, a video clip on the production of desalinated water using Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology was also presented.
Furthermore, application forms for Water & Sewer facilities were distributed. It was also announced by MWSC that application forms that are submitted from 01st – 31st January 2011, will get one free domestic water connection per household. Additional terms and conditions were also communicated to the customers on the application collection process.
Application forms will be accepted from Head Office in Malé and Sewerage site office in Kulhudhuffushi.
