His Excellency President Nasheed launched three Major Projects at HDh. Kulhudhuffushi on 29th July 2010 during his visit to the island, one of them being the Water Supply project initiated by MWSC. President also visited the Sewerage Project site at the island.
In addition to President’s speech, MWSC Chairperson Ms Neeza Imad also gave a brief on the project. She highlighted that a 43.3km of water network would be placed. Water meters would be connected and installed for all the 1600 households and to all the government and private institutions. She also thanked the community for the coordination given during this project. She mentioned the Project will benefit the community in terms of new Employment opportunity and public access to safe drinking water.
